Open Museum of Urban Art

More than 50 graffiteiros were asked to paint the 33 columns of the Southern Avenue in Sao Paulo, transforming the region into a large open air art gallery. The project, which will result in the 1st Open Museum of Urban Art of São Paulo (MAAU), is supported by the Ministry of Culture and the Arts Palace.

Outside of the law and the streets, into one of the most important museums in Brazil the MASP.

"Here the view is different. On the street you see these pictures, maybe a second, two seconds, when you go by car and bus. Here's what the museum does is just give the condition to stop the person before the work and see, "said the curator of MASP, Teixeira Coelho for the National Journal .
