Typographic Glossary

In Brazil Computer Arts magazine this month (ed. 42) has a glossary of typography that caught my attention, I decided to share here, see:

Aesc (æ)
Ligature of the letters 'a' and 'e'. The aesc comes from Old English and represented a diphthong. Today, the character is used in other languages, as dinamaerquês and Icelandic. Pronounced "is".

I gave a very original name for the font: Typograff Open Type, but of course!
