Bad Dita Calligraphy July 12th, 2010 Bad Handwriting Dita: graffiti theme is shown in Matilha Cultural
Celebrating cultural manifestation of graffiti, between 13 and 31 July, Matilha Cultural houses the exhibition "Calligraphy Bad Dita", exhibition of records gathered by typographical brand of graffiti The Very Crazy and guests of the five regions of Sao Paulo and ABC work for more than 20 years on city streets. The exhibition is aimed at understanding the Pixo and his calligraphy as social phenomena of our time. The initiative came from Manulo and Penguin and had support from guests Thatha (ZS), Tatei (ZO), Rash (ZN), Taylor and Tramp (ZL), Ze (ABC) and Ivan (center). On the show, you can know the 'calendars' with calligraphic drawings, which are individual pieces as important as the very survival of the culture. In meetings taggers, the little leaves are often exchanged, keeping alive the handwriting of each group and making collectible character piece with party invitations. "We meet many rare letters and signatures of the history of graffiti. Too bad it is impossible to show everything at once, "says Manulo. Other highlights of the program include the launch of the documentary "Bad Dita Calligraphy" with 20 min duration, directed by Jey (Flavio Ferraz), one of the organizers of the exhibition, exhibition of photos of John and Victor Wainer Moryama in context artistically graffiti in São Paulo and pictures of Paul Ito (Plastic Artist and Illustrator) that addresses the Pixo-language comics. It is scheduled even a cycle of talks on the various facets of Pixo, with names like Claudio Rocha (Tupigrafia publication), Jaime Prades and Celso Gitahy already confirmed.
